Happy Birthday wishes to Dr. Jonas Salk on this day in 1914
Tuesday, October 28, 2014

Happy Birthday wishes to Dr. Jonas Salk on this day in 1914. Dr Salk is credited with discovering the first successful Polio Vaccine. Currently, society is battling another deadly virus: Ebola.

The development of an Ebola vaccine is currently underway. Safety studies are in progress. It is estimated that the vaccine will be available to high risk individuals as early as June 2015.

The rapidity of this vaccine development is a testament to the character and strength of the world wide medical community. Without clinical research, including selfless volunteers, an Ebola vaccine would not be possible.

Gout Increasingly Common Among Americans
Friday, September 8, 2017
