Eli M. Roth MD FACC, CPI:
Dr. Roth, the president of Sterling Research Group, is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Lipidology. He has over 24 years experience in general and interventional cardiology. He is currently a Professor of Clinical Medicine and Director of Preventive Cardiology for the Division of Cardiology at the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine. Dr. Roth has 12 years experience in clinical trials and has been principal investigator or sub-investigator on over 500 clinical trials. Dr. Roth has ACRP/APPI certification as a Certified Principal Investigator. He currently is a consultant and alternate board member of Schulman and Associates IRB, and has participated as a Data Safety Monitoring Board Member as well as consulted on protocol design and writing for clinical trials.
Matthew Wenker, MD:
Dr. Wenker joined Sterling Research in December 2011. He brought with him four years of clinical research experience. He has been board certified by The American Board of Internal Medicine since 1999. He is a member of ACRP (Association of Clinical Research Professionals), and was honored as a "Top Doc" by Cincinnati Magazine in 2010.
Philip M. Diller, MD, PhD:
Dr. Philip Diller, board certified in Family Practice, has served as Principal Investigator and Sub Investigator with Sterling Research since 2009. He is Professor of Clinical Family Medicine and Chair of the Department of Family & Community Medicine at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Diller earned a PhD in Pathology from the University of Chicago, and his M.D. at the Pritzker School of Medicine in Chicago, followed by a Residency at the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Diller has been the recipient of numerous awards, including Excellence in teaching, and was named among Cincinnati’s Best Doctors in 2005-2011. He is the proud father of 7 children.
Raj Davit, MD:
Dr. Rajesh Davit is a board-certified family practice physician, currently practicing with the Mercy Health Physicians. He has been on staff at Sterling Research since 2012. He earned his M.D. at St. Eustatius University, School of Medicine in England, UK, and completed a residency in Family Medicine at Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, South Carolina, where he was awarded the “Stellar Service Award” and a Chief Resident’s Award.
Dr. Davit is a black belt in Taekwondo, and the proud (and busy) father of young twins.
Gayle Hennekes, PA-C, MPAS:
Gayle is a Physician Assistant with over 25 years experience and has a strong background in Internal Medicine; Dermatology and Rheumatology. She has more than 7 years of clinical research experience as a sub-investigator.
Padma Mangu, MD:
Dr. Mangu joined Sterling in November 2016 and will be primarily at the Springdale location. She is Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. She received her medical degree from Government Medical College of Aurangabad and has been in practice for more than 20 years.
Bain Butcher, MD:
Dr. Butcher joined Sterling in January 2017 at the Mt. Auburn office. He specializes in Family medicine. In addition to practicing medicine, Bain Butcher is a conceptual figurative artist who exhibits nationally and maintains a studio in Cincinnati, OH. He received his MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art in 2006 where he studied with leading contemporary figurative painters. He has won numerous awards and his work has been included in multiple publications. In addition to his studio practice, Bain is an Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati, and he teaches courses in contemporary figurative art at Bain Butcher Studio.
Jim Fry, PA-C:
Jim joined the Mt. Auburn team in January 2017 as our full-time Physician Assistant. Mr. Fry received his Physician Assistant training while serving in the US Air Force with his Bachelor Degree awarded by the University of Oklahoma. He obtained his Master’s Degree from Anderson-Broaddus College. Jim is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He is also a member of the Ohio Association of Physician Assistants and a Distinguished Fellow with the American Academy of Physician Assistants. He has worked in Primary Care, Infectious Disease and Gastroenterology for more than 30 years.
